1. Cách dùng “some”/ “any”: một ít, một vài
1.1. Khi “some”/ “any” là tính từ bất định:
1.1.1. “some”, “any” đứng trước danh từ đếm được ở số nhiều.
VD: There are some bananas on the table. Có vài trái chuối trên bàn.
There aren't any bananas on the table. Không có trái chuối nào trên bàn.
1.1.2. “some”, “any” đứng trước danh từ không đếm được ở số ít.
VD: Tom needs some time to relax. Tom cần một ít thời gian để thư giản.
He doesn't want to drink any alcohol. Anh ấy không muốn uống tí rượu đế nào cả.
1.1.3. “some” được dùng trong câu khẳng định và câu chỉ đề nghị và lời mời lịch sự.
VD: Mr. Baker drinks some beer everyday. Ngày nào ông Baker cũng uống một ít bia.
Would you like to drink some tea? (Bạn uống một ít trà nhé?) _ Đây là câu chỉ lời mời lịch sự.
