There are many ways to collect money to help the poor and the handicapped. Selling flags is one way. On Flag Day, many children help to sell small paper flags on the streets. Each child carries a coin-box and some paper flags. The children often go in pairs. They go to crowded place like bus stations, cinemas and entrances of busy shopping centres. There, they will ask people to buy a flag and donate some money to the poor. The money collected at the end of the day will be given to charity homes that take care of the poor and the needy.
